Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ProPath 128-tick matchmaking, progressive mineral ELO rankings, server connectivity, and tournament rules.
What is ProPath CS2?
ProPath is a next-generation competitive Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) matchmaking platform that provides true 128-tickrate dedicated servers, sub-15ms European latencies, a unique 10-tier Mohs Hardness Scale ELO system, and real-time player statistics tracking.
Is ProPath CS2 completely free to play?
Yes! ProPath is 100% free to play. Any player with Counter-Strike 2 and a verified Steam account can queue for competitive 5v5 matches, track their match history, and climb the mineral leaderboard without requiring any paid subscription.
What tickrate do ProPath servers run on?
All ProPath competitive match servers run on true 128 tickrate with custom netcode tuning on dedicated Linux machines in Warsaw and Frankfurt. This provides deterministic bullet registration and smooth counter-strafing without the desync issues present in standard 64-tick sub-tick matchmaking.
How do I connect to a match on ProPath?
When 10 players accept a match in the Match Ready Arena, a 'JOIN GAME' button will appear in your browser. Alternatively, you can open your CS2 developer console (~) and paste the direct connect command (e.g., 'connect 79.186.237.71:27015; password PP...').
How do I pair my CS2 in-game account with my web profile?
Click on your profile avatar in the web panel to generate a 6-character code (e.g. PP-4489), join our game server, and type '!pair PP-XXXX' in the in-game chat. Your Steam ID, live rank, and stats will be linked instantly.
How does the Mohs Hardness Scale ranking work?
ProPath uses a progressive 10-tier mineral scale: 1. Talc (0–999 ELO), 2. Gypsum (1000–1199 ELO), 3. Calcite (1200–1449 ELO), 4. Fluorite (1450–1749 ELO), 5. Apatite (1750–2099 ELO), 6. Feldspar (2100–2499 ELO), 7. Quartz (2500–2949 ELO), 8. Topaz (2950–3449 ELO), 9. Corundum (3450–3999 ELO), and 10. Diamond (4000+ ELO / Apex Grandmaster). Each level requires +50 more ELO to climb, ensuring higher tiers represent true competitive mastery.
Does ProPath require installing invasive kernel drivers?
No! ProPath provides browser-to-game matchmaking. You connect directly via standard Steam protocols and CS2 console. Our zero-trust server-side heuristics, CounterStrikeSharp memory verification, and ban watchdog catch cheaters without risking your PC security or operating system integrity.
What are the competitive match rules?
Matches follow standard MR12 (Max Rounds 12 per half, 13 rounds to win), 1:55 round timers, 0:40 bomb timers, overtime on 12-12 draws (MR3 format with $10,000 start cash), friendly fire enabled, and active captain map veto phase.
